A fine 19th century Victorian mahogany pedestal desk of well-proportioned design. The rectangular top is inset with a tooled green leather writing surface, surrounded by a moulded edge. Below are nine drawers arranged with three across the frieze and three graduated drawers to each pedestal, all retaining their original brass swan-neck handles and working locks (with two keys). The pedestals are raised on plinth bases.
