A fine early 18th century Queen Anne walnut bureau of excellent colour and figuring, dating to circa 1710.
The sloping fall front is decorated with attractive herringbone crossbanding and opens to reveal a well-fitted interior with an arrangement of drawers and pigenhole storage. The bureau also features a useful drop well compartment within the interior and a writing surface inset with green baize.
The exterior is fitted with two short and two graduated long drawers, all with brass handles and escutcheons, and stands on bun feet.
The walnut display a rich, warm patina throughout.
