A substantial Victorian cast iron safe by Samuel Withers & Co Ltd of West Bromwich, dating to circa 1860.
Recently stripped back and polished to reveal the raw metal finish, giving the piece a striking industrial appearance while retaining its original character.
The safe features a working lock complete with key, original carrying handles to each side, and the maker’s brass plaque to the top. Despite its solid cast iron construction, the safe remains manageable to move with two people.
Presented in good condition throughout, this is an attractive and practical piece, ideal for use as a side table, or decorative storage, combining Victorian craftsmanship with industrial appeal.
