A fine Victorian burr walnut dressing and jewellery box of rich colour and beautifully figured grain.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a well-appointed fitted interior, complete with an arrangement of cut glass bottles and jars retaining their silver gilt lids. The interior is lined in deep blue velvet, with compartments for grooming implements and personal effects, and a fully fitted lift-out tray.
The underside of the lid is fitted with an inset mirror, framed with delicate gilt decoration, enhancing both its practicality and decorative appeal.
Below, a concealed jewellery drawer offers additional storage, ideal for smaller items and valuables.
