Very Heavy Large Fire Back with Andirons and Large Grate The fire back tells the story of King Charles II who was reputed to have hidden in the Oak tree to avoid capture, you can see the crowns and his initials quite clearly The Fire Back which is 3” thick comes with some tall soup bowl andirons and a replacement grate so very useable in a large fireplace The plaque shows signs of its of age but it is sound and there are no repairs, is probably weighs 200kgs This delightful piece will serve well in an Inglenook or similar fireplace, a plan to install it will be required as it takes several people to lift it The Fire back is 29” high, 34” wide and 3” thick The Fire back, Andirons and Grate assembly is 29” high, 36” wide and 33” back to front SC132
