An attractive Pair of Early 20th Century Antique English Edwardian Brass Chimney Ornaments ~ “King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra”. The King, uniformed and be-medalled, astride his mount, the Queen seated side-saddle upon hers, each figure titled above a rectangular moulded plinth decorated with symbols of the four nations of Great Britain and Ireland. Emblems of national unity for the cottage mantelpiece, issued perhaps to celebrate the recent ending of the South African Boer War.
