SOLD Set of four rare Scottish Victorian burr elm kitchen chairs

Superbly figured set of four elm Scottish spindle back chairs. With all the charm you could wish for. These are very well made chairs, chairs that will remain good for at least another 100 years of regular kitchen usage. And very rare with such figuring. Stronger than most kitchen chair patterns by far, with double spindled understretchers all round.

 Other similar chairs are known as “gun butt”, the difference being the gun butt chair has arched cutaways between each spindle, underside of crest rail. Another appealing adaptation to this overall very good and sound design. These are a steal for the price and highly recommended if you want the best.
