Description
An exceptional early 1800s Sewing Box and Stand in Rosewood. This box is one of the finest and most unusual English/Anglo Indian we have encountered. It has the usual sewing compartments and cotton winders with an unusual feature of a fitted 7.5″ original rolling rule. There is a document compartment in the lid and two well hidden secret compartments in the lower main box. The stand and feet are exceptional examples of their time.
