Description
Rozanne Palmer was born in 1932 and first attended Beckenham School of art followed by Canterbury where she was encouraged by James Palmer (no relation). From there she won an exhibition to the Royal Colledge of Art graduating in the mid 1950’s. She then went on to teach art at various schools of art including the Central. Her paintings were regularly shown at the Royal Academy from 1964 until 1987 when she was forced to stop due to an arthritic condition. Titles at the RA during these years include

Her work has the same earthy quality and painterly technique as Daumier and the subdued palette adds to the drama of the domestic setting. Provenance; Purchased by me directly from the artist.
