A striking large hand made Persian Luri antique rug.
Made with wonderful hand spun wool, this carpet has full pile which feels lustrous and has a glossy sheen to it. Dating to the end of the 19th century this rare tribal rug retains its original kilim ends.
Glowing colours made from vegetable dyes feature throughout and make the rare Shikirli border stand out. A fantastic piece in excellent condition, suitable for normal domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
