Description
Late Victorian walnut twin pedestal desk by English cabinet makers Maple & Co c1890. Original tooled red leather skiver to the top, over an arrangement of nine drawers with moulded fronts, and fitted with Hobbs & Co locks. Original brass handles and escutcheons and stands on a moulded plinth base and castors. Finished to the rear allowing it be be free standing in any position. In excellent original untouched condition and has just had a light clean. Very little wear to the drawers, and what looks like scratches to the leather skiver is just rubs to the dye on the leather.
