A long solid oak late georgian blanket box c1830. Good size, having a hinged lid with steel strap hinges, which opens to reveal ample storage space, lidded candle box, a secret under-shelf, and stands on bracket feet.
The blanket box is the same height as a normal seat of 17 inches, so could be used as a hall bench or end of bed seat. Original lock but no key.
In good condition.
