Description
A late Georgian wing armchair, dating to circa 1800, of elegant traditional design.
Featuring a tall, gently shaped back with pronounced wings and outward-scrolling arms, above a generously upholstered seat. Raised on square mahogany legs united by stretchers, retaining brass castors.
The chair is upholstered in an attractive red damask fabric with a woven floral design, complementing the rich colour of the mahogany legs.
A substantial and decorative example of an early 19th-century wing armchair, combining classic Georgian proportions with the comfort of a high back and enclosed wings.
A lovely statement chair, ideal for a sitting room, library or beside a fireplace.
