A substantial Victorian campaign trunk constructed in solid camphor wood and reinforced throughout with brass mounts, including robust corner plates and brass strapping. The hinged lid opens to a generously proportioned interior, fitted with two removable lift-out trays over a deep storage compartment, retaining its characteristic camphor aroma and providing excellent storage. Fitted with recessed brass side handles for ease of movement and raised on later turned feet, allowing it to be used comfortably in a domestic interior.
A practical and decorative piece, equally suitable for use at the foot of a bed, as a coffee table, or for general storage in a hallway or living space.
