This exceptional quality piece features beautiful mahogany with elegant boxwood string inlay and satinwood crossbanding throughout.
With brass carry handles and decorative brass escutcheons, stamped by Edwards & Roberts with the original maker’s label inside.
Edwards & Roberts were one of the leading London cabinet making and antique furniture firms of the 19th century, renowned for producing fine quality furniture in the Georgian and Regency styles. Established in Wardour Street, London, the firm became highly respected for their craftsmanship, use of premium timbers and faithful reproductions of earlier English designs, supplying distinguished private clients and country houses alike.
The hinged top opens to reveal a green felt lined interior with removable bottle divider/holder, designed for the secure storage of silver or bottles.

The chest lifts off the stand for easier transport.
Raised on square chamfered legs with shaped corner brackets, this is a highly decorative and functional antique of impressive scale and quality.
