A very well made Gothic Revival solid oak writing desk c1880.
The desk has an elevated gallery back with trefoil cut-out, rectangular writing surface with inset blue leather tooled skiver which sits above two drawers with stop chamfer edging and original brass drop handles, trefoil cut-outs to the extended side supports, undertier shelf inset with blue and white Minton ceramic tiles, and is raised on turned decorative supports and castors.
