This is a genuine Victorian buttoned leather Chesterfield sofa, a striking example of 19th-century British design. Upholstered in high-quality, hand-dyed leather, the chestnut brown finish reveals a rich depth of tone with subtle variations that highlight the natural character of the hide.
The sofa features the classic hallmarks of the Chesterfield style: deep button tufting across the backrest, arms, and seat base, creating a luxurious, structured surface. The arms are rolled and set at an even height with the back, providing a balanced and dignified silhouette. Along the front edges of the arms runs a meticulous line of antique brass studded trim.
Supporting the frame are turned mahogany legs, each fitted with traditional brass casters.
