Description
Arts and Crafts Cotswold School oak writing desk c1930’s, having four side drawers and one drawer over a liftable footrest. Could also be used as a console table. The exposed dovetail joints and through tenons are visible and very reminiscent of the work produced by handicraft students at Loughborough College under the direction of Peter Waals, until his death in 1937, followed by Edward Barnsley from 1938.
