Description
The original bronze head of Aphrodite, Goddess Of Love ( C.100bc) was found in Satala in Turkey in 1872 with the rest of the statue, but supposedly most parts were sold to different collectors. The head was acquired by the British Museum in 1876.
This is a very good quality cast of the exact piece in the British Museum. Even the detail of the damage caused by the farm machinery to the back of the statue head that initiated the find is exactly as the one in the British Museum.
