Description
This fine and imposing Early 20th Century Antique English Edwardian Silver Plated Samovar was produced by the highly regarded firm of Silversmiths, Walker and Hall, established in Sheffield in 1845. The body of the piece, of classical vase form, with restrained decoration in the bright cut manner, is mounted upon a square platform base which stands upon four ball feet. This magnificent piece still retains it’s full complement of internal fittings, and is of superb quality throughout, although the spigot is now a little loose, thus rendering it suitable for display rather than use. The base fully marked with Maker’s Mark, viz. – W & H Pennant above WALKER & HALL SILVER CUTLERS & SILVERSMITHS SHEFFIELD, plus the numerals, 16, 1235 and A1. Perfect for the discerning Interior Decorator.
