Antique Baroque Oak Carved Leather Desk Table, circa 1830
An exquisitely carved and detailed solid oak leather top writing desk, console table, dating from the early 19th century, very much in the Baroque taste.
Inset tooled gilt burgundy leather skiver, over detailed carved scrollwork frieze with inverted finials. The table top raised on twin barley twist column supports united by turned barley twist stretchers. All raised on scroll leg trestle type legs. Very solid and sturdy throughout.
