Description
A tall and most imposing Late 19th Century Antique Anglo – French “Belle Époque” Cast Brass Column Oil Lamp, so described as we understand the cast brass openwork column to be French in origin, whilst the rest of the lamp, ie. the font, burner and shade, we believe to be English Victorian, the chimney of course, as one would expect, being a modern replacement. The white opaline glass font attractively moulded with birds in foliage, good clean brass burner, the wick winders each marked DUPLEX with ML interlaced, the scalloped green shade etched with leaves and flowers in the Art Nouveau manner.
