A good quality Edwardian mahogany chest of drawers of pleasing proportions, fitted with an arrangement of two short over four long graduated drawers. Retaining its original oval brass plate handles and standing on a shaped plinth base with bracket feet.
The chest is attractively figured throughout, with particularly pleasing grain to the drawer fronts and well-chosen mahogany veneers to the sides. Decorative fluted corner stiles and fine moulded details add refinement to the design, while the drawers run smoothly and provide excellent storage.
Presented in good antique condition with a rich warm colour and patina, this is a practical and decorative piece of traditional English furniture, suitable for a bedroom, landing or reception room.
