A generously proportioned mahogany framed footstool, upholstered in a red patterned fabric with gold braid trim. The stool is raised on bold cabriole legs, each finely carved with acanthus detail to the knee, terminating in well-executed claw and ball feet. An elegant late 19th century piece in the Chippendale revival style.
