A fine Georgian bow-fronted mahogany chest of drawers, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The chest features three graduated drawers with attractive boxwood stringing and tulipwood banding with brass knobs and escutcheons.
The elegant bowed front is complemented by a shaped apron and bracket feet, and the piece retains a brushing slide above the drawers, a desirable and practical feature. Constructed in solid mahogany, with dovetailed drawers, it displays a warm, rich colour and pleasing patina consistent with age and use.
