A superb quality Victorian safe dating to circa 1860, by the renowned makers C.H. Griffiths & Sons, London. Beautifully crafted with a polished steel finish, this is a particularly attractive and substantial antique piece.
The safe features exquisite decorative brassware, including a finely detailed brass maker’s plaque, ornate brass door handle and original fittings. It retains its working lock and key, and opens to reveal a charming small internal drawer, complete with a beautiful ormolu handle.
A wonderful example of Victorian craftsmanship, combining impressive quality, elegant detailing and considerable character.
