A Victorian walnut open bookcase dating from around 1880, of elegant proportions and excellent quality throughout. Crafted in richly figured walnut, the bookcase is surmounted by a moulded cornice above a plain frieze, with fluted uprights to either side accented by finely carved corner blocks.
The interior offers three fully adjustable shelves, allowing the bookcase to accommodate books of varying sizes or to display decorative objects, making it both practical and highly versatile. The solid plinth base provides a sturdy foundation while maintaining the clean architectural lines typical of the period.
