Description
A striking Regency over – mantle mirror with an ornate gilt frame richly decorated in classical relief. The upper panel features an elaborate procession of figures, lions, winged beings and chariot motifs — all rendered in deep, sculptural detail that brings a sense of movement and storytelling to the piece. Fluted columns with ornate capitals frame the scene, adding architectural presence and balance.
Below, the mirror is arranged in three panels, creating elegant symmetry and reflecting light beautifully. The gilt surface shows gentle, age‑related wear that enhances its character, revealing the history of a piece that has lived comfortably for more than a century.
Decorative, dramatic and full of classical charm, this over mantle mirror makes a superb focal point for a period interior, drawing room or hallway.
