Leathermaché Putti, architectural decorations These very rare pieces are made in Leathermaché, two of them are characters in the forms of Putti or cherubs and the other are of a high born couple, their costume seems to date from the 15th-16th centuries Lethermaché was commonly used in the past as a form of decoration similar to carved wood or stonework, it is not as durable as wood or stone so not very much of it still survives.
