A handsome Edwardian mahogany canterbury, dating from the early 20th century, of elegant and practical form. Traditionally designed for the storage of sheet music and folios, the piece features a divided upper section with shaped slatted divisions, including a central pierced carrying handle, all above a useful full-width drawer.
Raised on tapering legs with brass cup castors, this is an attractive and versatile piece that works equally well in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Originally intended as a music canterbury, it now lends itself perfectly to use as a magazine rack, newspaper stand, or occasional storage beside a sofa or armchair.
