Description
A beautifully carved pair of Chinese hardwood stands, each topped with a circular inset marble panel displaying attractive pink and cream veining. The aprons are richly worked with pierced floral and foliate motifs, all executed with sharp, confident carving. Each stand rests on four cabriole legs united by a shaped cross‑brace, giving them both elegance and stability.
The hardwood has a warm, even colour and a pleasing polish that highlights the natural grain. Well‑proportioned and decorative, these stands are ideal for displaying vases, plants, or small sculptures, and present in excellent condition throughout.
A refined and highly decorative pair, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship typical of late‑Qing to early‑Republic Chinese furniture.
