A good quality vintage leather and mahogany swivel desk chair, circa 1930

This handsome early 20th-century desk chair is upholstered in rich red leather, beautifully worn with age to a deep, mellow patina. The shaped back and generously padded seat offer excellent comfort, both outlined with close-set brass studding which adds a refined decorative finish. The leather shows natural creasing and surface wear consistent with age and use, enhancing its character and authenticity.

The chair is supported on a solid mahogany frame with elegantly shaped arms and a robust central column, raised on a four-legged base terminating in brass castors. It retains its original revolving and height-adjustable mechanism, allowing the seat height to be altered, making it both practical and versatile for modern use while retaining its period charm.
