A superb quality William IV flame mahogany deep sideboard, circa 1830, of impressive scale and rich colour.
The rectangular top is surmounted by a low mahogany gallery, adding both refinement and practicality, above a finely figured frieze drawer. The drawer sits neatly over a pair of well-proportioned cupboard doors, each beautifully veneered in striking flame mahogany with bookmatched panels that display exceptional movement and depth of grain.
The doors are framed by bold uprights with finely carved corbel brackets beneath the moulded top, a characteristic William IV detail that lends strength and architectural presence to the piece. The cabinet opens to reveal a generous shelved interior, offering excellent storage capacity, making it as functional as it is decorative.

The whole stands on a substantial plinth base, enhancing its grounded stance and reinforcing the confident lines typical of the period. The mahogany has developed a wonderfully warm, mellow patina, highlighting the quality of the veneers and craftsmanship throughout.
