A pleasing George III mahogany side table dating from the turn of the 19th century, of elegant proportions and restrained classical design. The rectangular top retains a rich, warm patina, with attractive colour and surface wear consistent with age and long use, adding to the table’s character and authenticity.
The frieze is fitted with a single full-width drawer, smoothly constructed and retaining its original brass ring handles on circular backplates. The drawer offers useful storage while maintaining the clean, balanced appearance typical of late Georgian furniture. The table stands on slender ring-turned legs, finely proportioned and terminating in neatly shaped feet, giving the piece a light and graceful stance.
