An excellent Edwardian mahogany grandmother clock dating to around 1910, featuring an elegant arched hood with brass finials and inset columns. The arched brass dial is beautifully engraved and silvered, with Roman numerals and decorative spandrels, reading Tempus Fugit to the arch.
This fine clock houses a quality 8-day movement striking on eight gongs, producing a rich, resonant chime. The slender case, with shaped mouldings and a panelled trunk door, stands on a solid plinth base with ogee bracket feet, showcasing classic early 20th-century craftsmanship.
