A fine quality antique overmantel mirror, dating to circa 1900, crafted in giltwood and gesso in the elegant Hepplewhite style. The rectangular frame is richly decorated with carved and beaded mouldings, enclosing an oval bevelled glass centre bordered with a delicate laurel leaf surround. The mirror retains its glazed spandrel corners and features decorative floral and scroll side mounts, adding refinement to its classical design.
This versatile mirror is of good proportion, ideal for use above a fireplace, in a hallway, or as a statement piece in a drawing room. With its timeless neoclassical influence and warm gilt finish, it will complement both period and contemporary interiors.
