Description
Outstanding William and Mary walnut chest of drawers with an attractive string inlay design to the top which sit on an arrangement of two short over three long drawers all with solid oak linings retaining there original brass drop handles, locks and escutcheons. The walnut veneer is rich and warm with cross banding to the top, sides and drawer fronts which also has a decorative circular string inlays to the middle two. This small but perfectly proportioned chest has developed a glowing warm patina which is very tactile. There are some imperfections but this only adds to the character of this fine looking useful piece of furniture.
