Description
German military service watch (Dienstuhr), manufactured by the renowned firm of Stowa (Walter Storz) of Pforzheim. This classic timepiece was issued to Wehrmacht personnel as a reliable, everyday service watch.
The watch features the iconic circular chrome-plated case with distinctive period-correct wire lugs. It retains its period dark dial with luminous Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and is correctly signed “Stowa”. The watch displays honest, heavy period wear, giving it a fantastic combat-veteran appearance.
The manual-wind movement is complete and clearly signed “STOWA” on the winding wheel. The inner dust cover is stamped “STAHLBODEN ROSTFREI” (Stainless Steel Back) and bears the serial number 847975, while the outer case back is marked with 521345.
