A rare and stylish Arts & Crafts settee c1899 designed by British architect-designer Walter Cave (1863 – 1939) and made by R Nash. The settee has a solid oak frame with a high backrest, voyseyesque uprights to the front and back legs, terminating in carved flower head caps, and is raised on faceted tapered legs on turned feet supported by a stretcher.
Newly and professionally upholstered which has been taken back to the frame to include new webbing and filling to comply with current fire regulations, retying of springs and covered in a good quality fabric.
