Description
19th century reclining library reading chair c1890, having a mahogany frame and features spindle arm supports with detailed carving on the end caps. The large seat is supported on outswept back legs and turned front legs which stands on original castors. Upholstered in black leather with a deep buttoned back. The chair reclines by means of a concealed mechanism within the arms and operated via the wooden knobs on the front. There is a very small piece of wood missing on the front knob (shown on image)but does not interfere with the mechanism and in overall good condition, no rips or repairs to the leather. 89cmH x 96cmD x 70cmW
