Fantastic mahogany four drawer secretaire chest from the fabulous Victorian era. The moulded top is a wonderful colour with amazing graining and sits above an arrangement a deep top drawer and three graduating drawers which are flanked by reeded columns on turned tapering legs. The top drawer front with its beautiful rosewood decoration, drops down to reveal a fully fitted interior having pigeon holes, a small cupboard and satinwood drawers. The leather writing surface has been replaced in the past however still looks like it has some age so is in keeping with the look of the interior. An extremely well made chest in excellent untouched condition wonderful graining with normal marks and scuffs commensurate with age and use. Separates into two sections for easy transportation. A very handsome chest offering a lot of storage and work space a perfect addition to any home or office.
