Victorian mahogany refectory table
A Victorian mahogany refectory table. Fully restored natural coloured never having being stained. The superb top being made from two wide table top planks. Something that is now impossible to buy or replace, with today’s table tops made from glued together off cuts in most cases as all the Brazilian wide mahogany trees are gone. Although a lot of furniture made from these fine mahogany trees live on to remind us of the changes we humans have made in just a couple of generations. This quality of timber and construction will be getting recycled for many generations to come. As we will never be able to reproduce such tops as this again. And it will last for many more hundreds of years to come.
