A superb Victorian burr walnut side cabinet in excellent antique condition. Richly figured and beautifully proportioned, the piece is adorned with finely cast gilt metal mounts that enhance its decorative presence. The doors are veneered in exceptional burr walnut and framed with gilt mounts, including delicate corner rosettes and an ornate central cartouche.
Inside, the cabinet opens to reveal a neatly arranged interior with three shelves, each lined in a luxurious deep plum fabric — a striking contrast that underscores the quality and refinement of the piece. The walnut has developed a deep, glowing patina, bringing out the swirling grain patterns that make burr walnut so highly prized.
