Unique Original Designs & Dies for Oman Police Force c1970
We are pleased to offer this unique archival and very historic selection dating from the independence of Oman in 1970.
These were working designs for the Omani police force insignia.
There are two original dies for foiling or impressing gold onto leather or cloth with a sample proof on red leather included. Also included are some paper designs for approval as shown. On one section there are instructions “for Garrard” which we have been informed by the previous owner was for Garrard & Company of London (formerly Aspreys).
This is a significant selection of important archival pieces and there are none others recorded or sold.
Each of the dies measures approximately 12cm x 10cm.
