Beautiful Hatchli of classic design with illuminating colour, made from natural dyes.
From the last quarter of the nineteenth century, these are also used as hangings. The make excellent small square floor rugs.
This example is very finely woven wool on wool, boasting beautifully drawn elem panels at the base.
This is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile, suitable for normal domestic use or hanging display.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non slip underlayer, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
