SOLD R Easton Stuart (1890-1940) Scottish. Oil on Board.

A charming painting of a little girl seated on the shoreline. Very nice condition, ready to hang. I think this is one of the present undervalued early 20th centuries Scottish Artists works surely to rise in the future, The blend of impressionist and realism within this painting is only achieved by a true master painter. The further back one stands from this painting the more distinguishing and prominent the little girl becomes. Seldom have I been so truly enthralled with an artist work with such little fame achieved, or so few works recorded, yet !. To a collector of up and coming artists works, R Easton Stuart, I am certain is one sure to rise as more of his works become exposed to the art world.  One to look out for as any records I have studied suggest very affordable acquisitions still possible.

In conclusion, Robert Easton Stuart was a Scottish painter who was born in 1890. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ‘GIRL WITH A JAPANESE DOLL’ but scarce to the market. The artist died in 1940.

A rare opportunity to own, in my opinion, one of Scotland’s most highly talented early 20th century artists of this particular technique.  Looking forward to the next one we find.
