SOLD Chinese silver scent bottle. Circa 1890
Chinese silver novelty pagoda building scent bottle, circa 1890.
Made of silver, in the rare novelty form of a pagoda building, the curved body and disk-shaped neck rim finely chased to depict flowers and scrolling foliage on a stipple chased ground, with bauble drops, four tall legs, and a screw fitting lid. This is unmarked, but tests as solid silver.
A very unusual antique Chinese solid silver novelty pagoda building scent bottle.
This measures 7.5 cm in height and 4.4 cm in width. It weighs 44 grams.
The condition is excellent, near perfect, the attachment chain for the lid missing, no dents, no repairs. Please see images.
