A wonderful room sized Turkish Sivas carpet dating back to the 1920’s
Made from magnificent, natural wool on a cotton foundation making this huge carpet feel soft, thick, strong, and boasts an impressive sheen, difficult to capture.
Its softly coloured field is abundant in the most intricate floral details. The multi layered carpet in a royal blue, electric blue, and cute flowers, frame the carpet with regal elegancy. This well drawn antique Sivas rug has such rich strong colours, the blues and greens most notable, is derived from all vegetable dyes, lasting a lifetime.
The wool is finely woven giving an incredible soft texture. It is of very large size and would be the ideal feature furnishing piece for any room. This magnificent example is in perfect condition and is suitable for normal or heavy domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
