Silver insect hatpin set with Garnet, Amethyst and Seed Pearls. It has a lovely long pin measuring 138mm (5 1/2”) and dates from the Edwardian period C1905-1910.
The head has a small cabochon garnet, the body is claw set with a pale and darker amethyst with 2 seed pearls set in each of the wings.
It is in good condition and a wonderful item for collectors of fine hatpins or insect jewellery.
