This is a Caucasian Daghestan rug in good condition based on a soft warm red backround. It features two large central medallions, a traditional Daghestan main border with a floral rosette outer border.
With even wear and a medium to low pile, it has an interesting tribal design which features many small animals, and as featured in the photographs a human above a two humped camel.
This carpet would be best suited to light domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non slip underlayer, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
